At approximately 5:20 AM on Wednesday morning, the Audubon Fire Department was dispatched and quickly responded to a report of a building fire at 51 Kings Highway. The building was Toscana's Pizza and the fire was quickly extinguished by the members of the Fire Department. The neighboring towns of Westmont, Mount Ephraim and Haddon Heights provided mutual aid for the fire, while Barrington and Oaklyn covered all calls for Audubon while the fire was being extinguished. A full report and pictures can be found here. Later that day the Audubon Fire Department would respond to and extinguish a fire in the engine compartment of a bulldozer on the 500 block of Washington Terrace. To end the day, the Department would respond as mutual aid for a Carbon Monoxide Detector activating in Audubon Park. The dedicated members of the volunteer Department continue to meet the everyday demands of Audubon and it's surrounding towns.
